How to Get Google (and your customers!) to Find You -not your Competition
SEO, or “Search Engine Optimization”, is the art and discipline of making Search Engines (like Google, Bing and Yahoo) put your website in front of people who are searching for information.
For example, I live in Phoenix and have a swimming pool in my yard (because Phoenix without a pool is, well, like living in the desert.) If I search for “Pool Service in Phoenix”, I currently get over 4,000,000 pages. Yes, Google says there are over four million pages I might want to look at. But as most people know, I’m really only going look at the first page or so – and probably only the first handful on page 1 of the results.
If you do this search yourself, you can see the value of proper SEO – the companies who got it right are there on that first page.
