Tools I use

These are the tools I useĀ  and recommend. I hope they help you too. Yes, I may get paid something if you use them (we’re Marketers, get it?) but my reputation matters more than random cash.

Besides, you pay the same price whether you buy from the creator/owner of a tool or you buy from an affiliate’s link.

It’s all good stuff – dive in…

BACKING UP YOUR COMPUTER

If you don’t back up your important stuff, I’ll come to your house and yell at you. Seriously, this is like insurance – you don’t really care about it until you need it. MyPCBackup is free for basic stuff and really cheap if you want to upgrade for extra “stuff”. Highly recommended.

Hosting:

I use Host Gator. Unless you like paying too much for stuff, Host Gator is the way to go. If you are paying for separate hosting for your sites, you’re just throwing it away. I host (at the moment) 15 sites on one account and I pay just under $10/month for everything.

Domain Names:

Sometimes, I just like the big names. Go Daddy has the easiest interface and setup, the most options and there’s always a coupon to save you money off the “official” price.

(Try to Google “GoDaddy coupons” to find something)

Plus, in my experience, they’re pretty good about leting me know when one of my domains is expiring, which is good since I can’t even remember my friends’ birthdays.

Syncing Multiple Computers:

Dropbox is my favorite app for making sure I have my stuff on all my PC’s, and even when I get a new PC, all my files are waiting for me.

Quitting Smoking

I know this is not related, but this was pretty helpful when I needed it.

This quit smoking hypnosis course (don’t knock it) works!
